Compensation Activities

Review and approve union base pay changes

Review and approve one-time payments for all bi-weekly staff and monthly temporary/seasonal staff

Review and approve temporary/seasonal/union staff compensation activities if no segregation of duties in unit

Staff Recruitment

Review and post job requisitions in Workday
=
Post and remove postings on external job boards
=
Perform reference checks when requested by unit
=
Initiate and clear background checks

Exits

Review and approve voluntary and involuntary exits

=

Process one-time payments for severances when requested by the unit

=

Conduct exit interviews when requested by staff

=

Compile information from exit surveys

=

Disseminate exit analysis to participating units and Center of Expertise

Data Management

Process sub-processes for Change Job for staff/temporary/seasonal employees
=
Process sub-processes for Add Job for staff/temporary/seasonal employees
=
Set up Additional Job for staff/temporary/seasonal employees if requested by the unit
=
Process personnel file requests for staff 
=
Review and approve personal information changes submitted by staff/temporary/seasonal employees
=
Assign Pay Group
=
Review employment eligibility for Hire
=
Review and approve Period Activity Pay payments
=
Review and approve Amend Form I-9

Review and approve primary job switches

Conduct ERISA hours review

Confirm background check completion

Manage data changes

Student Employment

=
Process various student employment related transactions including Federal Work Study and verification of student status

Time Tracking and Absence

Provide training through videos, QRGs, and instructor-led training sessions

=

Provide guidance on policies and contracts

=

Provide support using the Workday system

=

Assist in data correction for user profiles

=

Provide assistance in troubleshooting swipe clock device errors, outages, and general technical support
